Video Conferencing
2012 will see the introduction to FarNet Video Conferencing classes. This initiative is to help broaden the current courses on offer at Whangaroa College. Through FarNet a range of international languages will be available online at the discretion of the e-dean. Students who participate in Video Conferencing classes have to be self-motivated. It is important that both the parent/caregiver and the student understand this process. For further information please contact the school office and make an appointment to speak with the e-dean or click on the link FarNet

STAR / GATEWAY
For many years NorthTec has worked closely with Northland secondary schools offering students the opportunity to engage in study outside the school curriculum through STAR and Gateway courses.

Distance Learning
The Correspondence School and Open Polytechnic offer courses that some students may find useful for their particular requirements.  The College supports such applications from students with good study habits.  There may be course fees for some of these.  The opportunity to take a subject that the school does not offer increases the range of opportunities available to students. For further information please contact the school office.
